Job description
The Associate II, Global Investment Banking role is part of the Energy, Infrastructure, & Transition team, providing investment banking services to clients in the power, utilities, renewables, infrastructure, midstream, upstream energy, and energy transition sectors. The team has a global coverage strategy across North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Australia.
The Associate will complete assignments that help clients achieve their goals and impact CIBC's bottom line through transaction and financing execution, client relationship support, industry and company research, and contributing to the overall communication flow across global offices. The role involves executing all facets of the group's mandates, conducting industry research and analysis, and preparing client proposals and pitches.
The role requires a dedicated and motivated individual with high career aspirations, capable of assuming high levels of responsibility within short time frames. The successful candidate will have a strong analytical ability, including knowledge of valuation techniques and practices, and experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity.
