The Insurance Specialist meets the insurance needs of our clients by educating, quoting, and servicing policies within insurance state law guidelines.
Requirements
Provide superior service to our members and internal customers
Communicates with clients, insurance companies, and other financial institutions
Responsible for extensive and complex communication with dealers, and financial institutions, and problem resolution
Maintain individual client files and process routine correspondence
Handles client inquiries regarding education, cancellations, reinstatements, and billing of third-party vendor insurance products
Process and review claims on Credit Life/Disability, Extended Warranty, CPI, and GAP
Recalculates and corrects loan information when research requires problem resolution or insurance refunds to the member's accounts
Recalculates and corrects loan information when research requires default pricing
Understands and helps to maintain vendor and company manuals and revisions
Understands and helps to maintain Procedure Manual, Workflow Manual, and Disaster Recovery Manual
Participates and contributes to a positive teamwork environment
Provides training to Credit Union staff as needed regarding products and referrals
Perform additional functions at the direction of department management
Ensures the confidentiality of all information and transactions regarding GTE Insurance, the Credit Union, its members, and its employees are held to the highest level of business ethics
Demonstrate functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and other Federal laws
