The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, support, audit and enhancement of all IT Infrastructure. This includes the ongoing management of IT operational services to provide the agreed levels of service, seeking continually and proactively to improve IT service delivery.
Requirements
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft technologies, especially Windows Server and Active Directory.
Experience applying security baselines such as CIS Benchmarks to wide range of systems.
Strong core networking skills.
Broad understanding of network security, including L4 and L7 packet filtering.
Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft365, and Azure Entra ID.
Experience working within a hybrid environment, preferably Azure.
Experience with virtualisation technologies, preferably VMware.
Automation scripting using PowerShell, Bash or equivalent.
Solid understanding of ITIL processes and experience in applying Incident, Problem and Change Management to a technical support role.
Knowledge of enterprise hardware and software processes, networking and software technologies.
Ability to build key working relationships, both within IT and across the organisation.
