Job Description
A&T Systems, Inc. is seeking a Telecommunications Mechanic I to support a government contract, focusing on outside plant (OSP) work involving copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cable installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair. The role involves preventive maintenance and compliance with standards, alongside cable splicing and safety inspections.
Requirements
- Install, maintain, de-install, and repair copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cables
- Conduct PMCS of installation telephone poles, pedestals, and underground cable enclosures
- Operate specialized equipment, including lashing machines and lashing machines, ventilation machines, and personnel lifts
- Perform safety inspections and pumping excess water
- Coordinate cable locates and document records
- Conduct gas testing in confined spaces
