A2MAC1 is seeking a Chassis Senior Engineer to join its Costing & Insights team in Munich. The role involves delivering high-quality costing analyses and actionable technical insights for chassis systems, supporting product development, cost optimization, and design-to-cost implementation in the automotive industry.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in chassis design engineering, automotive cost engineering, or purchasing
- Strong experience with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics
- Strong expertise in chassis systems (axles, steering, brakes) and associated technologies
- Deep understanding of materials, structural design considerations (crashworthiness, stiffness, weight reduction, durability), and cost drivers
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and tooling concepts
- Strong experience with design-to-cost and cost modeling methodologies
- Ability to analyze complex systems and identify cost optimization opportunities
- Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in an international environment
