The F-16 Maintenance Supervisor plans and directs maintenance operations and ensures policy and procedures are followed to achieve established goals and objectives. The role involves supervising and assigning workloads, maintaining knowledge of supply procedures and technical data, and inspecting and repairing aircraft systems.
Requirements
- Supervise and assign program workloads as well as duties for entire shifts of workers performing aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modifications.
- Maintain knowledge of supply procedures, and Service Bulletins/Letters and Airworthiness Directives.
- Must be highly proficient in using technical data and drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs.
- Must have knowledge of F-16 aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
- Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls and modifies aircraft systems and powerplants in accordance with established written procedures, specifications, and standards.
- Candidate must be knowledgeable in F-16 aircraft systems operation and maintenance to include landing gear, powerplants, flight controls, disassembly, reassembly, rigging and aircraft movement.
- Must be able to read and speak English. Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- All other duties as assigned.
