Sr. Systems Engineer

Role Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide technical support for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This is a full-time position. The Systems Engineer will engineer and deploy robust cloud infrastructure solutions, integrate cloud systems with existing infrastructure, and develop automation scripts.

Engineer and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions, integrate cloud systems, develop automation scripts, set up monitoring solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with project managers and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, a bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or science, and relevant technical certifications. The candidate should be able to troubleshoot high-level technical and non-technical issues and have experience with creating and maintaining system architecture and troubleshooting documentation.

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in systems engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Science
• Current relevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP), Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP))
• Ability to troubleshoot high-level technical and non-technical issues
• Experience in evaluating, testing, deploying and maintaining both custom developed and third-party software upgrades
• Ability to create and maintain system architecture and troubleshooting documentation
• Experience with performing engineering and/or scientific research, studies, and analyses of specified technological, scientific, programmatic, and operational issues
• Ability to prepare plans and assessments, such as management engineering plans, integrated support plans, and implementation plans
• US citizenship
