Systems Engineer

Role Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide mission worthiness support for the Technical Advisory and Assistance Services (TAAS) program at Hanscom AFB. This is a full-time position.

What You Will Do

Spearhead the development of a process to collect, integrate, maintain, update, and, as necessary, rectify all requirements for the Mission Worthiness Assessment. Influence the NCW’s requirements management process. Provide data and research analysis.

Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance. Experience with RFP development, digital engineering strategy, and tools including Microsoft Power Platform and other Microsoft collaboration tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in systems engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience with RFP development including requirements gathering and analysis and source selection evaluation criteria
• Knowledge of digital engineering strategy and tools including Microsoft Power Platform and other Microsoft collaboration tools
• Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Teams, including data management, list creation, and integration with Power Platform
• Experience with other automation tools and platforms
• Experience working on each stage of the system development life cycle from initiation through deployment/sustainment
• Demonstrated proficiency with process modeling and developing workflow diagrams
• Able to elicit and interpret requirements and translate to technical specifications/system design following best practices and design patterns
• Capable of performing: problem/gap definition, trade space analysis, science and technology roadmap analysis, “Set based design” for concept development, Multi-Objective Decision Analysis (MODA) and cost versus capability trade off analysis
• Able to communicate with management, technical staff, and end users in a clear and professional manner
• Experience with engineering practices, techniques, and standards
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present technical presentations
• Able to represent complex data in diagrams or through other techniques that communicate precise information to both business and technical staff
• Proven ability to understand the strategic and tactical approach to projects and handle multiple projects concurrently
• Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance
