Network Engineer

Role Overview

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Network Engineer supporting an Intelligence Community Customer in Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. As a Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining unified communication systems.

What You Will Do

Creates/modifies network drawings, author system engineering documents and plans. Supports designs, tests, and pre-deployment readiness reviews. Supports the network operations of the Production system.

Requirements

• Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI
• Bachelors degree in engineering (or similar technical field) and eight (8+) years relevant experience
• Masters degree and six (6+) years of relevant experience
• PhD with three (3+) years of experience
• 12 years of relevant experience in the above-cited duties may be substituted in lieu of a completed higher education degree
• A current/valid IAT LVL III Certification (Security+ CE, CCNP, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, and CCSP)
• Experience with the design, implementation, and support of network infrastructure solutions for routing and switching of complex networks
• Experience implementing and troubleshooting WAN topologies leveraging ethernet, T-Carrier, and Optical Carrier circuits
• Experience and understanding of networking fundamentals such as network protocols and common services (e.g., DNS, FTP, SSH, SNMP)
• Implementation and troubleshooting experience of networks using concepts/protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPNs and emerging concepts such as Software Defined Networking
• Prior experience supporting a Government and/or Department of Defense customer
