Environmental Inspector

The Environmental Inspector will work under the direction of the Environmental Compliance Officer to ensure construction works comply with the Environmental Management System (EMS) and applicable law. This involves inspection and documentation of environmental performance, working collaboratively with construction, office, and client teams, and possessing knowledge of environmental protection measures and typical construction activities.

Requirements

• A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated working experience in environmental monitoring / mitigation during transportation project construction
• Certification as a Canadian Certified Inspector of Sediment and Erosion Control (CANCISEC) or proven proficiency in observing, inspecting, and reporting on Erosion and Sediment Control Plans
• Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with key contacts in verbal, written, and electronic form
• Able to prepare technical presentations and reports assimilating a range of data and information sources in a clear and logical manner
• Strong organizational and planning skills, detail-oriented, superior analytical and written skills
