Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians. Produce images of internal body tissues to diagnose and monitor conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy, and cancer. Supervise and mentor ultrasound personnel, and maintain equipment.
Requirements
- Diploma/certificate from an Ultrasound college/school
- Certified and currently registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB), or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI-RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS) within one year of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Facility Specific License/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI RVS) or ARRT-Vascular Sonography (ARRT-VS) or ARRT-Sonography (ARRT-S)
