Co-op Engineering Student

Aecon is a Canadian leader in infrastructure development, offering co-op engineering students the opportunity to work on exciting heavy civil projects, providing a chance for learning and development. The position involves site audits, analysis, and reporting, as well as assisting field engineers and superintendents with day-to-day tasks. The successful candidate will work with a team that values diversity, inclusion, and belonging, and will be exposed to the day-to-day management of project construction, resource allocation, scheduling, and cost control.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university or technical college diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Experience in the construction industry is a strong asset
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
• Beginner knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam is an asset
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• A strong work ethic – highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right
• Adaptable to flexible work schedules (day and night shifts) when required to meet deadlines
