The Medical Assistant will perform clinical duties including intakes, blood draws, and specimen processing, as well as providing medications and documenting patient activity.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- 3+ yrs. experience in phlebotomy
- Post-Secondary Certificate preferred
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred
- A working knowledge of the community and the ability to link clients to services in the community when necessary
- Must be able to comfortably work with people of all lifestyles
- A working knowledge of Medical Assistance, Medicaid, Medicare and Health Choices billing regulations and systems
