Job Description
The CNC Machinist will set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and turning centers to manufacture aerospace and defense components in accordance with complex engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Requirements
- 5–6 years of CNC machining experience, preferably in aerospace and/or defense manufacturing
- High school diploma or equivalent with advanced machining or technical training
- Strong understanding of aerospace drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications
- Proven ability to hold tight tolerances and work with precision components
- Proficiency using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, etc.)
- Solid math skills, including fractions, decimals, and basic geometry
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing documentation practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machining processes
- Familiarity with first article inspections (FAI) and quality documentation is a plus
- Understanding of AS9100, ITAR, or other regulated manufacturing environments is preferred
