Job description
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Programmer/Developer to play a key role within a high-impact technical services team. The selected candidate will be part of the client's Fiscal Management Statewide Fiscal Oversight team and will be responsible for highly advanced software development and maintenance support for client's legacy mainframe applications.
Performing highly advanced software development work in support of the CAPPS STARR project and all ancillary systems, including client's legacy mainframe applications. This includes coding requested changes, coordinating testing and debugging, and delivering tested, production-ready software solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of latest web technologies, strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and strong problem-solving skills. They will also be able to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision.
