At Alstom, we are looking for a RAMS Engineer to join our Salzgitter location. As a RAMS Engineer, you will be part of a team that ensures our complex and innovative transportation systems can be operated efficiently, safely, and reliably every day. You will create safety concepts, analyses, and proofs for rail vehicles and their electrical and mechanical components, and work on projects from the offer phase to delivery. Requirements
- Creating safety concepts, analyses, and proofs for rail vehicles and their electrical and mechanical components
- Participating in the creation of risk and hazard analyses
- Investigations and evaluations on reliability for rail vehicles and their electrical and mechanical components
- Conducting reliability studies
- Participating in the creation or analysis of FMEAs/FMECAs
- Creating, coordinating, and processing work packages taking into account the QCD goals of the projects
- Monitoring compliance with guidelines for functional safety in the development process of rail vehicles up to approval
- Ensuring compliance with RAMS guidelines of the Group, as well as with regulatory and statutory requirements
- Cross-departmental and location-independent cooperation with the System Engineering, Design, electromechanical integration, verification, validation, quality assurance, and approval departments as well as with the Maintenance/Service department
- Participating in analyses on availability and maintainability of rail vehicles and their electrical and mechanical components
- Participating in the determination of life cycle costs (LCC calculation and forecasts)
- Participating in offers of vehicles, optimizations of vehicle concepts, requirements, and specifications for vehicles, components, and groups
- Later also lead the vehicle projects in the respective product platforms within the project phases from the offer to approval or acceptance of the contractually agreed-upon goals
