Accountant

Role Overview

Join ALTA Performance Materials as an Accountant in Barcelona, Spain. This role is part of our growing organization and offers the opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The Accountant will work under the supervision of the Country Controller to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

What You Will Do

Execute month end closing activities in SAP, undertake system corrections, investigate and analyze major costs and yield variances, review and analyze Plant and Regional SG&A Fixed Costs, and post month end journal entries.

This role requires a strong understanding of accounting processes and controls, technical skills in SAP and Microsoft Office, and excellent interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an international environment and a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration
• 5 years of experience in accounting processes and controls in an international environment
• Professional knowledge of SAP system and Business Warehouse reports
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office
• Fluent English, other European language (French, Polish, Finnish or Spanish) is a plus
