Job Description
act digital is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its team in Lisbon, Portugal. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in data engineering, a strong background in data architecture, and proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. The role involves leveraging large volumes of data, developing and maintaining data pipelines, and communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Academic background in Engineering, Economics, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in data architecture
- Professional experience in any data visualization tool such as Tableau or Power BI
- Professional experience in data analysis with programming, preferably Python (Pandas)
- Proficiency in SQL
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing is a plus
- Knowledge in Big Data technology such as Pyspark, Presto and Airflow is a plus
- Knowledge of Power Query and DAX is a plus
