Senior Application Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Engineer to support our AIoT customers across security cameras, edge AI devices, and embedded smart products. This role focuses on customer-facing technical support, Linux-based SDK integration, AI deployment on edge devices, and cross-functional problem solving with SoC, firmware, image quality, and platform teams.

What You Will Do

Provide hands-on pre-sales and post-sales technical support for AIoT customers in North America, collaborate with prospective customers and partners, reproduce customer-reported issues, train customers on the effective use of Ambarella SoCs, and support marketing and business teams in new product developments.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in CS/EE or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience in customer-facing roles such as SE, AE or FAE
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience with embedded systems in the semi-conductor industry
• 5+ years of Linux development experience
• 5+ years C/C++ programming experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in video technology, digital imaging, image signal processing is highly preferable
• Experience with computer vision, machine learning, Gen AI, LLMs, is a plus
• Experience in scripting languages (shell, Python) is a plus
• Good understanding of connectivity solutions (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc.)
• Program Management skills are highly desired
