Work closely with the Helpers, Lead Operators, and Shift Supervisors to ensure production processes meet customer expectations, and maintain operation of designated line.
Requirements
- Follow all Company policies regarding safety, quality, and attendance
- Perform duties in a safe manner and report all observed safety hazards to management
- Act as a role model for Safety on the shift
- Participate in safety programs by reporting Unsafe Conditions, Unsafe Acts, and Close Calls
- Maintain operation of designated line
- Ability to take ownership of the line when it is down and be responsible for getting the line back up and running under normal running conditions
- Responsible for housekeeping that is due for completion by the end of the shift
- Ability to do all operator paperwork, key information into the computer system, and be responsible for all products run on the line
- Ability to understand the process and operation of the equipment
- Perform adjustments to machine as required for orders or to troubleshoot issues
- Ability to troubleshoot problems on all parts of the line to manufacture quality products that meet order specifications
- Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments
- Ability to calibrate machines and understand different systems
- Ability to wear all required PPE (steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, and other PPE as required)
- Ability to lift up to 65lbs
- Ability to read and understand work orders
- Knowledge in navigating different computer programs
- Ability to communicate with other employees
