Mechanical Fitter

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Fitter to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and machinery in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.

What You Will Do

Assemble and fit mechanical components and systems, read and interpret engineering drawings, conduct routine maintenance and inspections, diagnose faults and carry out repairs, operate hand tools and machinery safely.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Fitting
• CCNSG Safety Passport or Equivalent
• Proven experience in a mechanical fitting role
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in an engineering environment
