Construction Estimator/Preconstruction Manager

Ameresco is searching for a Construction Estimator/Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating and preconstruction activities for large-scale energy generation, storage, and infrastructure projects. The role supports project development from conceptual estimating through detailed bid execution, ensuring cost accuracy, constructability, and alignment with project objectives.

Requirements

• Lead development of Independent Cost Estimates (ICE), ROM estimates, and detailed bid estimates across all design phases.
• Perform quantity take-offs and develop labor, material, and equipment cost estimates across all trades.
• Manage subcontractor solicitation, bid leveling, negotiation, and award processes.
• Conduct constructability reviews and value engineering to optimize project cost and schedule.
• Develop detailed General Conditions estimates aligned with project schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering, development, procurement, and construction teams.
• Manage RFI processes and support bid documentation in Procore.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Support proposal development including pricing structures and cost narratives.
• Developing and managing strong relationships with subcontractors across our national footprint.
