Amherst College invites applications for the Custodian position, supporting the efforts of Custodial Services to maintain safe, clean, orderly, and sanitary conditions throughout the campus community.

Requirements

• Perform general custodial work required to maintain safe, clean, orderly, and sanitary conditions in buildings and their adjacent grounds
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace that meets all environmental health and safety standards
• Collaborate with a diverse set of colleagues, ensuring a respectful, inclusive climate
• Perform various projects such as floor stripping, snow removal, and waste management
• Troubleshoot and carry out routine repairs of cleaning equipment and building trade-related issues
• Assist with event support and campus stewardship
