Job Description
Amherst College invites applications for the Custodian position, supporting the efforts of Custodial Services to maintain safe, clean, orderly, and sanitary conditions throughout the campus community.
Requirements
- Perform general custodial work required to maintain safe, clean, orderly, and sanitary conditions in buildings and their adjacent grounds
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace that meets all environmental health and safety standards
- Collaborate with a diverse set of colleagues, ensuring a respectful, inclusive climate
- Perform various projects such as floor stripping, snow removal, and waste management
- Troubleshoot and carry out routine repairs of cleaning equipment and building trade-related issues
- Assist with event support and campus stewardship
