Network Engineer II

Role Overview

ANG SIGNAL is looking for a Network Engineer to join our team supporting the federal government in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will provide network engineering and support of the enterprise network to support the science mission of our federal client.

What You Will Do

Provide technical support on network and cabling issues, support the LAN and WAN infrastructure, remote sites and data centers, troubleshoot network and cabling problems, and participate in lab configuration and testing of new technologies.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years experience in a Network Engineering role, strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocol/technologies, and experience configuring and running firewalls.

Requirements

• 7+ years experience in a Network Engineering role
• 3+ years experience of Cisco ISE and/or Aruba wireless and Clearpass
• Routers and Switches hands-on experience
• Ability to communicate designs and network concepts to a variety of audiences
• Experience configuring and running firewalls
• Experience with Fortinet firewalls
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocol/technologies
• Experience with Wireless networks implementation and support
• General understanding of project management processes and terminology
• Ability to multitask and set priorities
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
