Principal Security Engineer

Role Overview

We're hiring a Principal Security Engineer to be the senior technical expert for security architecture, engineering standards, and security control design. You will work closely with the SOC, platform and technology leadership teams to make and own security design decisions, set technical standards and patterns, and be hands-on in the implementation, configuration, and uplift of security controls across the organisation.

What You Will Do

Act as the technical authority for security design decisions across cloud, infrastructure, identity, endpoint, and application domains. Own and evolve security architecture patterns, reference designs, and hardening standards. Define, document, and maintain security engineering standards, baselines, and configuration requirements.

You will lead complex or high-risk security engineering work, work alongside the SOC Lead, and provide technical assurance that security controls are implemented as designed.

Requirements

• Proven applied experience in cyber security or security engineering role in Financial Services
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing security controls at scale
• Experience working with Microsoft security technology, Networking infrastructure, Email Security platforms, Endpoint protection technology, Identity and Access management
• Experience in working with industry compliance and security standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST
• Expertise in strategic planning, security standards and framework
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
• Strong communication skills and a team player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
