Manufacturing Engineering

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions. We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and maintain methods, operating sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. The role requires strong knowledge of configuration and change management processes, lean principles, automation, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products, and use engineering principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements.

Requirements

• Review, define, and validate Bill of Materials (BOM) for CES requests
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate closure of CES activities
• Possess strong working knowledge of configuration and change management processes
• Maintain proficient knowledge of Teamcenter and NX for product structure, change control, and design collaboration
• Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes for fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to coordinate product improvements, new product introductions, and manage manufacturing engineering projects as required
• Lead and promote Design for Excellence (DFx) initiatives to drive cost reduction, improve manufacturability, and enhance overall product quality
• Establish time standards and provide recommendations for tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing process requirements
• Develop and execute test procedures, evaluate results, and continuously improve work methods, procedures, and policies
• Mentor, guide, and train junior engineers to build technical capability and reinforce best practices within the team
