Database Administrator

Role Overview

We are hiring a Database Administrator to ensure reliability, performance, and security for our PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You'll support mission-critical insurance applications, drive standardization, and improve automation and cost efficiency in a highly available cloud environment.

What You Will Do

Manage and maintain PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server to ensure availability, performance, and security. Monitor database health, troubleshoot incidents, and deliver root-cause analysis with preventative fixes; participate in an on-call rotation.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We're looking for a production DBA with 3-5 years of experience in PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server, with hands-on experience with on-premise and AWS, Azure, or GCP managed database services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
• 3-5 years as a production DBA with PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server
• Hands-on experience with on-premise and AWS, Azure, or GCP managed database services
• Strong fundamentals in database design, indexing, transactions, and performance tuning using query plans/DMVs/pg_stat_statements
• Proven backup, recovery, and HA/DR experience with executed tests
• Incident response experience in high-impact environments and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
