Environmental Intern

Arcosa Lightweight is searching for an Environmental Engineer Intern for our Baton Rouge, LA location. As an Environmental Intern, you will foster a positive safety culture while supporting the environmental team with compliance, regulations and projects within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Prompt, regular and predictable attendance
• Ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment while adhering to good safety practices
• Ability to decipher and analyze data for operational improvements
• Ability to map out processes and identify bottlenecks
• Skills in organizing tasks, timelines, and resources MS Office Suite: Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis, MS PowerPoint for presentations, and MS Word for documentation
• Capability to identify issues and find effective solutions
• Ability to collaborate with different departments and teams
• Flexibility to adjust in a dynamic work environment
• Taking the initiative to learn, ask questions, and seek feedback
• Efficiently managing tasks and responsibilities within provided timelines
• Basic knowledge of tools like Power BI to present data findings
• Willing to travel on the job
• Must be open to and comfortable with change.
