System Test Technician

Role Overview

Photonics Ops South is looking for a System Test Technician to test custom photonic, mechanical, and electrical hardware solutions for its production Space flight Optical Inter Satellite Link Terminals.

What You Will Do

Perform optical or electrical testing and characterization, follow test procedures, record detailed test data, and support the maintenance of cleanroom test equipment.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in testing custom, complex electromechanical and optical assemblies, and a general understanding of basic electrical and photonic principles.

Requirements

• Experience testing custom, complex electromechanical and optical assemblies
• Use of optical sources, power meters, and optical spectrum analyzers to test optical components
• General understanding of basic electrical and photonic principles
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions or test procedures
