Tire Technician

Role Overview

Tire Technician will perform tire and rim changes, rotations, maintenance and repair on all mobile mining equipment, light vehicles, support, and auxiliary equipment. The role requires safety, inspection, and repair of tires, as well as operation of tire handling equipment.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include safety inflate and deflate tires, maintain and inspect tires, diagnose and repair tires, and operate tire handling equipment.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in automotive and/or heavy equipment maintenance and tire repair, and be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.

Requirements

• HS diploma or GED
• Prior experience in automotive and/or heavy equipment maintenance and tire repair
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, company policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the work environment
• Must have own basic tools for the position
