Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer role at ASSA ABLOY Traka, responsible for designing and developing next-generation products, collaborating with colleagues across the global network, and managing CAD data and documentation. Requirements

• Holds a minimum of an HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
• At least five years' experience in a product-design role and a strong background in electro-mechanical product development
• Proficient in 3D CAD (ideally Autodesk Inventor)
• Experience with CAD revision-control systems such as Autodesk Vault Professional
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, moulding, die-casting and extrusion
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently under pressure
