The Senior SAP BTP Consultant – Extensions is responsible for designing, building, and governing cloud-native extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform. This role focuses on extending SAP S/4HANA and other SAP solutions following clean core principles, leveraging side-by-side extensibility, and enabling future-ready, upgrade-safe innovations.
Requirements
- Design side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP aligned to Clean Core and SAP Extensibility Guidelines
- Define extension strategies using SAP BTP services such as CAP, Kyma, SAP Build, and ABAP Environment
- Translate business requirements into extensible, maintainable technical solutions
- Lead development of extensions using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), Node.js / Java / ABAP Cloud, SAP Build Apps & Process Automation
- Implement UI extensions using SAP Fiori Elements and SAPUI5
- Ensure API-first, event-driven, and loosely coupled designs
- Enforce clean core compliance and extension best practices
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, code quality standards, and security controls
- Guide teams on lifecycle management and extensibility governance
- Act as a technical advisor to customers and internal delivery teams
- Mentor junior consultants and developers
- Contribute to solution roadmaps and innovation initiatives
