Mid-Level Database Administrator

Role Overview

AvalonBay Communities, Inc. is a leading developer, redeveloper, acquirer, and manager of apartment homes in the US. We're seeking a Mid-Level Database Administrator to design, implement, maintain, and optimize complex database systems for critical business operations.

What You Will Do

Design and implement new databases, monitor and optimize database performance, implement access controls and security policies, develop and execute data backup and disaster recovery plans, and automate routine tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Five years of experience in database management
• Deep knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, cloud DBs (Azure, AWS), ETL, HA/DR solutions (AlwaysOn, Data Guard)
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft Azure, AWS) can be beneficial
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, attention to detail, and communication skills
