Principal Engineer - Networking

Aviatrix is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex networking features within their cloud networking platform. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on networking, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure, and a strong proficiency in Go and/or Python. They will work across teams to solve difficult distributed systems problems and raise the technical bar for the engineers around them.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Deep expertise in networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, IPSec, MPLS)
• Proven track record of owning and delivering complex, large-scale features or platform components end-to-end
• Strong communication skills; able to present technical trade-offs and design proposals clearly to engineering peers and leadership
