As a Senior Communications Engineer at Babcock, you will be at the heart of delivering cutting-edge military satellite communication solutions for maritime platforms, working on the UK MOD's modernised satellite network, and ensuring mission-critical systems remain secure, reliable, and future-ready. The role involves testing and commissioning new equipment, managing obsolescence, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and providing third-line support for maritime customers. This is a full-time role with hybrid working arrangements, and the candidate can be based from Corsham, Bristol, or Plymouth.
Requirements
- Background in telecommunications or satellite communications
- Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle and serial communication services
- Installation of network and RF equipment on maritime platforms
- Delivery of MILSATCOM solutions to maritime environments
- Strong knowledge of IP network architectures
- Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline
- Cisco Professional (CCNA) certification preferred, or demonstrable experience at this level
- Security Clearance: Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role
