
Job description
The Project Engineer is responsible for all field operations, including coordination of subcontractors' work, safety, and project financial responsibility. They will lead construction delivery portions of presentations, assist in project cost projection and financial reporting, and develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, construction managers, and subcontractors.
The Project Engineer will perform project safety walks, lead safety meetings, and participate in incident investigations. They will also assist in project cost projection and financial reporting, review and approve monthly owner and subcontractor pay applications, and communicate with the Project Manager on potential extra charges and cost event tracking.
The ideal candidate will have ten years or more of commercial construction field experience, five to ten years of direct supervisory experience, and proficiency in using personal computers and company communication tools. They will also have the ability to read plans and specs, and hold certifications such as OSHA 30, DBIA, and CCM Professional.
