Environmental Science Teacher - 9th/10th Grade

Liberty LEADS is seeking a passionate Environmental Science Teacher to lead a 9th/10th grade course focused on climate change and renewable energy at IN PERSON locations in New York. The role involves curriculum development, student engagement, and fostering environmental literacy. The program aims to empower young people with leadership and social skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Earth Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Teaching certification or license in Secondary Education with a science focus
• Experience teaching climate science, energy, or environmental sustainability
• Strong understanding of current climate science, renewable energy, and environmental policy
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
