Role Overview

Join Beca's Applied Technology business and be part of a team using systems thinking to solve complex, real world challenges. This is an intermediate level Systems Engineer role, suited to someone looking to build on their existing experience while continuing to develop their capability.

What You Will Do

Contribute to the delivery of complex, mission-critical programmes across their full lifecycle. Develop and deliver requirements and specifications across the lifecycle for complex, critical systems. Work in a broad, interdisciplinary environment with a focus on risk and safety.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role
• Strong interest in understanding complex systems and delivering meaningful outcomes for clients
• Ability to work across disciplines, build effective relationships, and communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders
• Confidence in translating complex information into clear, easy-to-understand insights
• Experience contributing to the delivery and integration of complex systems or programmes, with an appreciation of achieving strong commercial outcomes
• Ability to engage with clients and stakeholders to gather, analyse, and define requirements, including supporting business cases or proposals
• Collaborative mindset, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive team environment
• Professional membership or accreditation (e.g. INCOSE, IMarEST, IET, RAeS, Engineering NZ), or progression towards chartered status
