Field Service Technician role provides advanced technical support to customers and engineers—on-site, in the field, or virtually—across a range of complex tasks.
Requirements
- Collect, format, and analyze technical data to support the repair and maintenance of power electronic equipment
- Travel to customer sites to install, maintain, repair, overhaul, troubleshoot, modify, and test electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment
- Diagnose issues and perform necessary adjustments, part replacements, component repairs
- Provide technical support to engineers in the field or on-site for complex service tasks
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors while delivering high-quality technical service
- Collect, organize, and analyze technical data such as lab results, material tests, and engineering design changes
- Generate engineering documentation, reports, and drawings, conduct tests and record findings
- Perform calculations and interpret results to support service decisions
- Read and interpret general electrical and mechanical schematics
- Apply broad technical knowledge of electronic principles to restore equipment functionality and resolve issues
- Follow all company and industry safety standards and policies
