Senior Electrical & Controls (Automation) Technician

Role Overview

Active Leader for Environment, Health & Safety actions, and policies. Mentor E&C Technicians on shift, ability to teach and train personnel. Shift Subject Matter Expert for all electrical and automation systems and components.

What You Will Do

Diagnoses and isolates advanced automation equipment system. Adapts to new and changing technology. Responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing equipment optimization projects.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Prior Siemens PLC, HMI & VFD experience is a plus. Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (SAP). Strong safety awareness and experience.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in a technical field
• 3-5 Years minimum Manufacturing
• Prior Siemens PLC, HMI & VFD experience
• Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (SAP)
• Strong safety awareness and experience
• Seamless Pipe Mill Experience
• Understand automation equipment, including PLC, HMI, and industrial networks
• Understand data acquisition systems such as IBA
• Understand the various signals involved in automation
• Experience with variable frequency drives
• SAP & general computer knowledge
