Job description
Research and Development - assessing new products and innovations, and building prototypes. Design - turning research ideas into technical plans using Computer Aided Design (CAD) and computer modeling programs. Production - improving production processes, and planning and supervising the installation of machinery and parts in line with design plans and timescales.
Evaluates systems and products by designing and conducting research programs. Develops new products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
