Senior Mechanical Engineer

Role Overview

The Sr. Mechanical Engineer serves as a key technical contributor within the engineering team, responsible for the design and execution of bulk material handling projects. This role leads and supports mechanical engineering efforts across the full project lifecycle.

What You Will Do

Perform mechanical engineering activities, develop and review mechanical calculations, lead the mechanical design of conveyor systems, review and approve mechanical layouts and detailed drawings, and ensure all mechanical deliverables meet project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• APEGA P.Eng. designation
• 10+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer
• Strong experience with material handling systems
• Solid understanding of mechanical system design, machine components, and project execution workflows
• Familiarity with applicable industry standards (e.g., CEMA, DIN, ISO)
• Demonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary and multi-location project environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
