
Job description
The Drafter-CAD Operator will work as a member of an integrated team responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. The Drafter will apply their software skills with commercial drafting programs to work with engineers and create designs for new systems and facilities, as well as modifications and upgrades to existing systems and facilities.
Primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining piping layout drawings and schematics, single line drawings for power distribution systems, facility and building layouts, and electrical drawings for process controls. The Drafter will also generate 3-D CAD design models, work with engineers and other designers, and compile and maintain job drawing files.
The ideal candidate will have vocational school drafting certification, relevant experience, and proficiency in Autodesk software, particularly AutoCAD, Inventor, and Plant 3D.
