Associate Director, Cell Biology and Analytical Pathology Functional Team Lead; Enzymes and Metabolic Research Unit

BioMarin is seeking a highly motivated Associate Director to lead the Cell Biology and Analytical Pathology Functional Team in the Enzymes and Metabolic Research Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pathology, image analysis, and developing cellular models of disease.

Requirements

• PhD with a minimum of 10+ years related experience
• Background in enzyme replacement therapies, lysosomal storage disorders or rare genetic metabolic disease is preferred
• Strong background in analytical pathology, histological techniques, database management and image analysis platforms
• Advanced knowledge in developing cellular models of human genetic diseases
• Knowledge of project management tools, methodologies and best practices
• Excellent leadership, budgeting and resource allocation skills
• Ability to interact successfully with team members from a wide variety of functional areas and all levels of contribution and expertise
• Strong communication (verbal and written) skills
