Requirements
- Lead tactical and strategic efforts within a cross-functional Materials & Processes team to lead direction of Additive Manufacturing efforts and hardware within Blue Origin’s world class in-house facilities.
- Identify low maturity Additive Manufacturing technologies to improve technical performance or manufacturability of liquid rocket engines.
- Mentor and support a team of competent high performing AM M&P engineers.
- Develop Additive Manufacturing processes, parameters, requirements, and specifications for existing and novel metallic materials.
- Lead test campaigns designing, collecting and analyzing material properties data for in-house produced Additively Manufactured metallic materials and Engines hardware.
- Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and integration engineers to implement requirements in all phases of AM coupled with robust production solutions and design for manufacture.
- Execute root cause and corrective actions efforts AM builds.
- Optimize and production harden AM processes to increase throughput and decrease variability.
- Contribute to the development of internal engineering and quality processes to standardize and accelerate material evaluation and implementation.
