We are looking for a Structural Analysis Engineer III to support the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle. The role involves performing analysis on primary and secondary tank structures, creating analysis documentation, and providing structural analysis guidance to design engineers and junior structural analysts.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- 5+ years of structural analysis experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle structures or automotive
- Demonstrated knowledge of vehicle load path and stress analysis of metallic and/or composite structures
- Familiarity with classical aerospace sizing methods
- Knowledge of engineering materials and their applications to achieve optimal structures
- Experience with at least two of the following analysis codes: Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, Optistruct, NASGRO
- Demonstrated experience using scripting languages
