Job Description
Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! As a Structural Analysis Engineer III, you will perform analysis on primary and secondary tank structures to support design, manufacturing, and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 5+ years of structural analysis experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle structures or automotive
- Demonstrated knowledge of vehicle load path and stress analysis of metallic and/or composite structures
- Familiarity with classical aerospace sizing methods (Bruhn, Niu, Roark, etc.)
- Knowledge of engineering materials and their applications to achieve optimal structures
- Experience with at least two of the following analysis codes: Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, Optistruct, NASGRO
- Demonstrated experience using scripting languages (VBA, Matlab, Python, FORTRAN, etc.)
