As the engineering lead for Lending, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled engineers to develop, enhance, and maintain our loan origination, loan management, collection system.
Requirements
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle
- Ensure high performance, scalability, and availability of the lending systems
- Implement best practices for software development and code reviews
- Drive innovation by staying up to date with latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements
- Identify and address technical debt
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus within the engineering team
- Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and deliverables
- Proven experience as an engineering lead or in a similar leadership role within the financial service industry
- Strong technical background in software development, with expertise in web app (NextJs), Java, SpringBoot, MySQL, Kafka and microservices architecture
- In-depth knowledge of credit underwriting and collection domain, and related technologies e.g. CCRIS, Experian etc.
- Experience with RESTful API development and integration
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g.Git) and agile development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of security principles and compliance requirements is a plus
- Experience with cloud platform e.g. AWS is a plus
- Experience with credit decision engine and ML Ops is a plus
