We are seeking a Plant Quality Manager to ensure the function and improvement of the Quality Management System, meet customer requirements, and establish and guide key improvement projects. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in the maquiladora industry in a management position with personnel administration and in the quality area.
Requirements
- Manage and improve all aspects of the Quality Management System
- Ensure that the quality management system is effective and ensure customer satisfaction
- Develop and implement quality strategies (Quality Road map) in the plant based on business needs and global quality strategy
- Seek integral improvements in all production processes
- Plan quality from the initial stages of the new product development process to ensure successful launches
- Ensure that regulatory, customer, and company requirements are reflected in plant procedures, standards, and policies, and verify their compliance
- Promote behavior consistent with Bourns' quality policy
- Directly manage the selection, evaluation, approval, and tracking of suppliers of raw materials, products, and services that directly impact product or process quality
- Manage resources (personnel, equipment, budget, etc.) for the proper functioning of the quality areas
- Manage and track the training requirements of your personnel, plan and follow up on personnel development to achieve a strategic position
- Coordinate the development of continuous improvement activities with topics such as Kaizen and Six Sigma
- Apply daily the culture of Lean Manufacturing, 5'Ss, etc.
- Comply with C-TPAT, Ergonomics, Environmental, and Quality regulations and procedures defined by the company
- Ensure that the correct validations are executed in changes or implementations of the process that may affect quality
- Responsible for developing, controlling, and monitoring quality metrics and goals
- Stop any production or administrative process that may jeopardize the integrity of people, products, or company assets, including equipment and installations
- Stop any production process that is suspected or confirmed to generate products that do not meet our quality standards
- Stop the production of a product or products that are generating abnormal quality problems
- Stop any activity, substance, product, process when it is detected that it may cause a direct environmental impact or does not comply with any compliance requirement
