Technical Documentation Designer

We are seeking a Technical Documentation Designer to create professional, customer-facing technical documentation for our valves, actuators, and control systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Adobe InDesign, product knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Requirements

• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Plan, develop, update, and manage installation/operation manuals (IOMs), technical datasheets, maintenance instructions, troubleshooting guides, and product catalogs
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product specifications, features, and use cases
• Structure documentation for usability and accessibility
• Simplify complex information and translate technical concepts into clear, concise, and visually scannable content
• Build documents in Adobe InDesign using strong typographic hierarchy, consistent styles, master pages, grids, and reusable templates
• Prepare documents for print and digital delivery (press-quality and interactive PDFs as needed)
• Proofread and review content for clarity, consistency, and correctness of specifications, terminology, and safety/operational instructions
• Manage working files and released outputs, track revisions, and ensure the correct, most up-to-date documents are available to internal teams and customers
• Work effectively with engineering, product management, quality, customer support, and marketing stakeholders—aligning on inputs, timelines, and approvals
