Software Engineer, Forward Deployed Agent Builder

Brex is looking for a Software Engineer to build AI agents that automate and augment internal functions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building with LLMs, agent frameworks, and tool-use patterns across the full stack. They will work on integrating agents with internal systems, APIs, and data sources, and define evaluation frameworks to measure and improve agent performance.

Requirements

• 4+ years in engineering, technical product/program management, applied AI, or a similar technical role
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs, agent frameworks, and tool-use patterns across the full stack
• Experience designing and optimizing SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Strong ability to decompose human workflows into scalable, agentic systems
